Information for Associations and Regulators involved in
standards setting
WRc provides essential technical support in the setting of
International (ISO), European (CEN), British and water industry
standards. WRc's experts have been key in development of standards
ranging from water treatment chemicals to pipes and pipelines.
For over 25 years, WRc has provided technical and secretarial
support to:
- CEN standards committees (e.g. CEN TC 165/WG22 Sewerage);
- Water Industry drafting committees for documents including
CESWI and Sewers for Adoption;
- Water Industry and manufacturer liaison groups for the
drafting of specifications and codes of practice
- Regulators (e.g. the Environment Agency's MCERTS specifications,
the NHS Thermostatic Mixer Valve specifications, the Drinking
Water Inspectorate's epoxy resin lining code of practice)
